So, i walked into this Cyber-Cafe pretty close to RSUST, where i planned to register for my Post-Utme while that was going on i stared at the list of already registered candidates and guess what i saw. Columns of English Names, British Names and basically a whole ton of non-Nigerian Names and guess what all of them where just a surname and a first name and am like 'What's going on people, what ever happened to our names?" You know the true irony? My name is Vincent Desmond on paper but my 'full' name is Elemele Vincent Odili Chukwubueze Desmond- a mouthful right? trust me i know i live with it. But do you know the most annoying of it all when our people go on Social Media and change their names to varying degrees of copycat singer names like i knew a friend of mine though his given name was Ogbonna Daniel he went on Niel Cray on Facebook, i mean seriously i am pretty sure in the next Seven Years you won't hear a name like Chiderah and Chidebere. Will you miss them? I won't. That might make me sound un-Nigerian but so does 'Vincent Desmond'
