Iyanya Onoyum Mbuk popularly known as Iyanya, was born on the 31st October 1986, in Calabar, Cross - River State, to a Headmistress Mother and a Forester Father. Soon after that Iyanya released two singles 'Iyanya ' and 'Love Truly ' which however failed due to problems in promotion.Iyanya got inspired by the Etighi dance and decided to do a song About the dance which ge did teaming up with D Tunes, and he recorded 'Kukere' whicj became popular in Nigeria, Ghana and UK specifically.Never looking back again with twenty two singles, two studio albums, fourteen Music videos and five promotional videos.
